Week 34 - The Sword in the Stone

The Sword in the Stone is a 1963 American animated fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney and originally released to theaters on December 25, 1963. The 18th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics, it was the last Disney animated feature released while Walt Disney was alive. The film is based on the novel of the same name, at first published in 1938 as a single novel. It was then later republished in 1958 as the first book of T. H. White’s tetralogy The Once and Future King.

Wow. I think I made up for being late this week by doing a really good job on this one! I've certainly had a lot more motivation (and free time) to complete this one, so I guess that helped out a lot. Hopefully I can keep this drive until the weekend comes, when it's time to draw the next WDM, The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

Another week-late post (I'm sorry...), I know. It's been a really tough week. I don't want to go off into it too much, but I just really didn't have any motivation to finish my posts on time :c I'm feeling better now though, and I should be able to get back on track with them soon (I'm finding that lately  have a lot more free time, lol)!

Week 32 - The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas, often promoted as Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, is a 1993 American stop motion musical fantasy film directed by Henry Selick and produced/co-written by Tim Burton. It tells the story of Jack Skellington, a being from "Halloween Town" who opens a portal to "Christmas Town". Danny Elfman wrote the film score and provided the singing voice of Jack, as well as other minor characters. The remaining principal voice cast includes Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'Hara, William Hickey, Ken Page and Glenn Shadix.

Yay! I finally got to one that I've been waiting for! Before you say anything, YES, this time I used the type tool for the logo- but it'll be the ONLY time! I mean, would you want to draw all 37 of those letters? Me either lol, that's why I just typed it :3 Anyway, this one's a day or so late, but I'm happy that I didn't wait until the end of the week to do it. And I know that everyone likes to say that they and their significant other are Jack and Sally, but that was me and Jonny from day 1, haha. In highschool I made 2 necklaces (both halves of a heart, one white with black cracks and the other blue with stitches) from clay for us to wear. And for my wedding, we had a Jack and Sally cake topper! Both of us grew up with this movie (as in I really don't remember the first time I saw it- it was always just there, lol), so it means a lot to the two of us separately and as a couple.

Next week is........

Week 31 - Peter Pan

Peter Pan is a 1953 American animated film produced by Walt Disney and based on the play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up by J. M. Barrie. It is the 14th film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series and was originally released on February 5, 1953 by RKO Pictures. Peter Pan is the final Disney animated feature released through RKO before Walt Disney's founding of his own distribution company, Buena Vista Distribution, later in 1953 after the film was released. Peter Pan is also the final Disney film in which all nine members of Disney's Nine Old Men worked together as directing animators. It is also the second Disney animated film starring Kathryn Beaumont, Heather Angel, and Bill Thompson after their roles in the animated feature Alice in Wonderland.

I feel like this one is a little boring, lol. But I can guarantee next week's wil be nice! It's the Nightmare Before Christmas! Oh my gosh I feel like everything's been going crazy lately! First off, I got a monroe this past weekend, so that's news, haha. Also, I had a bit of a row with someone at work (actually, it was more him calling me and my husband something unpleasant, and me going to my boss, lol). I feel like this week went by REALLY fast, though! It's all a blur, almost!
