Week 50 - Monster's Inc.

Monsters, Inc. is a 2001 American computer-animated comedy film and the fourth feature-length film produced by Pixar. The starring voices are John Goodman and Billy Crystal as Sulley and Mike, two monsters who work at a power plant that powers the monster world with children's screams, Mary Gibbs as Boo, a little girl who enters the monster world, Steve Buscemi as Randall, a rival monster, Jennifer Tilly as Celia, Mike's girlfriend, and James Coburn as Mr. Waternoose, the plant's owner.
The film was released to theatres by Walt Disney Pictures in the United States on November 2, 2001, in Australia on December 26, 2001, and in the United Kingdom on February 8, 2002. It was a commercial and critical success, grossing over $525,366,597 worldwide. The film is scheduled for a 3D re-release on January 18, 2013. Also, a prequel, Monsters University, is scheduled for a June 21, 2013 release.

I'm slowly getting back on track with the blog! At least now I'm not getting them done late simply because of laziness- I blame it on my comic! So week 50 is Monster's Inc.- a Pixar movie with one of the cutest endings ever :D I absolutely love Boo, and I swear that if I had a little girl she'd look just like her!

Also, in other Disney-related news, I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and buy some Vinylmation! They haven't come in the mail yet, but I got one of the villains, one of the urban set, and one of the special edition light up ones! Plus, thanks to the Friends and Family sale going on, I couldn't help but buy some from the store too. I got the limited edition Jiminy Cricket and the light-up Mickey with the stand. I can't wait to go to the parks and buy a ton more!!

Week 49 - Bambi

Bambi is a 1942 American animated film directed by David Hand (supervising a team of sequence directors), produced by Walt Disney and based on the book Bambi, A Life in the Woods by Austrian author Felix Salten. The film was released by RKO Radio Pictures on August 13, 1942, and is the fifth film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

More of me catching up, lol. This week (Monday, July 16) is supposed to be week 51. So I'm still not quite there yet. But you must admit that's much better than where I was before. So I discovered a new trick with this picture- I was going over Bambi's pupil with black clean lines, and then I ended up working it all the way around the entire drawing, lol. When I had it colored and all, I took away the sketch layer, and it actually looked really neat! It's shown right down below. Which one do you like better?

Week 48 - The Rescuers

The Rescuers is a 1977 American animated feature produced by Walt Disney Productions and first released on June 22, 1977. The 23rd film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, the film is about the Rescue Aid Society, an international mouse organization headquartered in New York and shadowing the United Nations, dedicated to helping abduction victims around the world at large. Two of these mice, jittery janitor Bernard (Bob Newhart) and his co-agent, the elegant Miss Bianca (Eva Gabor), set out to rescue Penny (Michelle Stacy), an orphan girl being held prisoner in the Devil's Bayou by treasure huntress Madame Medusa (Geraldine Page). The film is based on a series of books by Margery Sharp, most notably The Rescuers and Miss Bianca. Due to the film's success, a sequel entitled The Rescuers Down Under was released in 1990.

Another week down! I can't believe that there's less than 100 days left until the trip! Of course with excitement, there's always worry... As October draws near, I realize I haven't yet paid off the trip- which needs to be finished before the end of August! Hopefully I'll make enough money in time to pay it off and have SOME extra money (I don't really think I'll run out of time, but money is short in today's society, lol). Hopefully soon I'll have the trip paid off, and I'll feel a little bit better!!

Week 47 - The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is a 1949 animated feature produced by Walt Disney. The film was released to theaters on October 5, 1949 by RKO Radio Pictures and is the 11th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. The film is also the finale of the seven package films produced by Disney until The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in 1977, following Fantasia, Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, and Melody Time.

Not really much I have to say about this one, lol. I know I saw this movie when I was little, but not enough to really remember too much about it (other than the fact that the first half is the Legend of Sleepy Hollow). I know this isn't my best :c but I really want to get caught up, like I never am haha.
